St Joseph's Catholic Primary School

Parent Forum

As you may know St Joseph’s school has a Parent Forum.  Our aims are:

  •  Fund raising for activities, facilities or equipment which support our school and advance the education of the pupils
  • Maintain a positive relationship between families and the school.

 How we raise money

Our recent events have included the Christmas fair, discos, the weekly raffle and a book sale.  We are always looking for new ideas so please come forward with suggestions – fund raising is important but we also like to organise events which are fun for children and their families.

We are planning the following events in 2017:

  •  Disco Thursday 30th March - Key Stage 1 - 4.30pm to 5.30pm,
  • Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6) - 5.45pm to 6.45pm
  • Summer coffee afternoon – date to be confirmed
  • Monster Disco – October 2017
  • Christmas Fair Sunday 3rd December 2017

How do we spend the money we raise?

Members of the Parent Forum meet with Mr Devlin and the management team to discuss ways of spending money that are the most beneficial for the pupils.

Who are the Parent Forum?

You are automatically a member of the Parent Forum but what you decide to do about it is up to you.  All parents and members of the school community can get involved if they want to, and we always need more volunteers.  You can help out at events, come to meetings to share ideas or help promote our events.   Our long term aim is to have a member of the Parent Forum to represent each class.

Lauren Schofield-Wilson is the Parent Forum chair.

Jenny McGuinness is the Parent Forum secretary.
